Rehabilitation/Youth Empowerment

The Rehabilitation and Youth Empowerment Program is dedicated to restoring hope and promoting self-reliance among vulnerable individuals especially young people who have faced life-altering challenges such as abandonment, addiction, homelessness, or incarceration.

We equip these individuals with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive by:

  • Providing vocational and skills acquisition training
  • Supporting reintegration into families and society

The Foundation’s has led the release and empowerment of numerous inmates, particularly those incarcerated for minor offenses. Before they were enrolled in tailored vocational skills, ensuring they have a firm foundation for re-entry into the society.

In 2023, the Obijackson Foundation took a giant step in partnership with the Akwa-Ibom State Correctional Service to sponsor the release of inmates with minor offenses and empowered them afterwards transitioning them from a cycle of despair to a path of dignity and productivity.

These efforts were not just about securing freedom, but about making that freedom meaningful, structured, and sustainable.

By engaging them in vocational training within months of their release, we reignited a sense of purpose helping them overcome the stigma and self-doubt shaped by prison life and supported their reintegration into society.

This program has broken cycles of poverty, dependency, and social exclusion, empowering the vulnerable to become productive, confident contributors to their communities.

Testimonies from these beneficiaries reflect our commitment to impacting lives, transforming communities.

In doing so, we don’t just change the lives of former inmates we transform the society they return to.
